POWERFUL CONCEPT OF BEAUTY

The man is a miracle. And as such he becomes a puzzle to himself and others, and much more to himself than to others because the most difficult thing to do is to learn about oneself, especially one's creative-self. And those who manage to discover their preferences early and who are lucky enough to find creativity in themselves and discover what beautyis  and what can be given to others, without doing anything to their own detriment, they rise, enrich and enlighten themselves and see further and more clearly. They develop the need to share their understanding of man, his life, nature and the world in general with others, and to do it in a blink, the flash of their mind and spirit: in a Zen-like fashion, briefly, clearly, and powerfully so that everyone is impressed and intrigued to start looking for themselves in the unsaid. It is well known that this is most efficiently achieved through haiku poetry, the kind that is used by Tatjana Debeljački in order to express herself and say what lies in her heart and soul, and revive images of nature and man's inner life with her readers and speak about what others like her speak about in their own poetry.

Hence the international competition "Haiku for Tatjana Debeljački 'of the Poeta Association of Writers from Belgrade. Hence the great interest of haiku poets from all over the world to support her as one of the haiku '' lighthouses '' who skillfully handles the most famous type of Japanese poetry shaped under the influence of Zen.

That is why there are so many poetic blinks in her honour, and many tremors of light which recreate the images of all who have been seeking magical beauty of poetic expression and enlivening the world and the beauty of life all over again. And all this is done with the maximum directness and strong and deep emotions about the already known, which imposes the need to (not underestimating the award-winning haigu authors) point out, at least, the winning haiku by Veljko Gajdašević and Predrag Pera Ćiković from Serbia and Ljiljana Dobra from Croatia.

a yellow leaf awaits a friend

on the doorstep

when fireflies soar

from your eyes into the night

the moon is envious

and a haigu by Tatjana Debeljački :

travelling moon

"Haiku for Tatjana Debeljački" is a lyrical book which will be cherished by connoisseurs of this kind of poetry because it is written to offer a direct expression of poetic experience and because it it has a real poetic value and gives a strong perception of beauty.
